NEW SEMINAR SERIES STARTS WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 30

Understanding Valuation from the Buyer’s Perspective: What you can do to increase your multiple

Every CEO wonders about valuation and how it may impact his or her exit options. Yet, determining the value of a business can be an opaque and somewhat subjective process.

Our new Owners’ Academy seminar series will provide an in-depth understanding of the metrics used by bankers and investors to calculate worth--and outline concrete steps you can take to increase your exit price.

Join us on September 30th for the first workshop of the series. The workshop will provide CEOs with an overview of the various components measured in valuations, and sets the foundation for the upcoming sessions that will delve into each component in much more detail.

First we’ll evaluate the components of valuation analysis based on the revenues and earnings of a business, and the systems and controls to accurately measure results and trends. The next section covers the importance of marketing in mitigating risk—a company that can strongly defend its position in the market will have a higher value. The third section explains the significance of succession planning to build sustainable and transferrable value in a business. Finally, we’ll discuss the importance of scalability in all the areas.

Moderator - Steve Snyder, Gesmer Updegrove

Panelists
Mike Cassata, Consilium Partners
Yvonne Brown, Partner/CMO, Chief Outsiders
Dan Guglielmo, TrustDesign
