In our April meeting we roll up our sleeves and get to work as we help the owners’ of North American Engineering & Consulting Firm (NAEC) understand the strategies that can maximize and protect their equity value as they plan their sale to key employees.
Let’s review what we have accomplished so far. In January we opened with a review of the case and roundtable discussion of the problems and possibilities for owners, Ray and Jimmy. Our February meeting was exciting – we explored the topic of preparing the successor for ownership, and In March we discussed a most critical component of successful insider sales – cash flow? Where does it come from? How to mitigate deal taxes and decrease overall transfer risk.

Allen Stott joined the Chesapeake Corporate Advisors (CCA) in 2013 as a Managing Director through the acquisition of JPB Strategic Advisors by CCA. Allen has been providing strategic advice to business owners throughout the exit planning, preparation and transaction execution stages since 1998. He has successfully completed transactions in a broad range of industries, including business services, health care and life science, government contracting, distribution, manufacturing and others. Allen holds a BS degree in chemistry from Randolph Macon College and an MBA from The College of William & Mary.
