The New Jersey chapter is growing and welcoming professional advisors who help business owners plan for a successful exit. As we continue to follow a case study approach addressing all of the various considerations associated with a successful exit, we welcome your attendance at our next meeting. Our ‘client’ is a partnership that wants to position itself for an exit in two to three years. As with most companies, there are some issues that need to be resolved to make the transition, and ultimate exit, a success.
October’s event will be a round table discussion titled, Managing Family Dynamics – The Good, The Bad and the The Ugly. Family dynamics can be one of the biggest challenges to a successful exit strategy. Satisfying the needs of multi-generational owners or siblings can be difficult and complicated. What steps can be taken to ensure such complications do not derail the sale process? How can owners prepare the family members for the sale process and what post-sale considerations should be addressed? How much influence should non-operating family members have on the process?
This highly interactive session will allow for participation by attendees in a collaborative format.
