Government Contractors operate in an challenging environment of changing funding, regulations, Government priorities and oversight. The market influences and pressures, along with Federal Acquisition Regulations create considerations that can positively and negatively impact the valuation of a firm and exit or growth strategies. Some of these considerations will be discussed by the panel in this meeting.

Tom is a Supervisor in RSM’s Baltimore office, where he is a member of the Valuation Services – Financial Advisory Service group. Tom provides equity valuations for management planning, estate and gift tax, purchase price allocations, and other purposes. He has analyzed firms in the government contracting, biotechnology, consulting, firearms, and oil and gas transportation industries, among others.



Patrick Guthrie, CFA

Patrick is a skilled business valuation analyst with over a decade of experience in valuation of securities for private and public companies in the US and internationally. He is a qualified financial analyst with a proven ability to simply and clearly communicate analysis to boards of directors, presidents and CEOs, CFOs, controllers and private equity portfolio managers. Patrick has been recognized for enabling organizations to determine their enterprise value for a variety of situations including strategic planning, sale or IPO, mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting (ASC 718, 805, 350), tax compliance (409A, NUBIG) , and employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs).


Stephanie Johnson

Supervisor

Stephanie Johnson is a Supervisor in RSM’s Baltimore Office where she is a member of the Valuation Services group. Stephanie has performed valuation and advisory assignments for a variety of purposes, including financial reporting, corporate tax, reorganizations, strategic planning, sale or IPO and employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs). She has performed valuation analyses involving complex capital structures and complex ownership structures. Stephanie is also experienced in the valuation of intangible assets (relationship-based, marketing-based, technology-based, patents, and non-competition agreements).


Joshua Tambor

Director, Transaction Advisory Services

Josh Tambor is a director with RSM’s transaction advisory services (TAS) practice in the Baltimore, Maryland, office. While Josh works on a variety of buy- and sell-side due diligence projects for the TAS practice, his specialized knowledge of the government contracting industry allows RSM’s clients to obtain the vital information required to make informed strategic decisions.
