Joseph Romano - Morgan Stanley

Mr. Romano serves as Executive Director at Morgan Stanley and heads the Wealth Planning Center for the Mid-Atlantic region of the firm. In this role he advises the firm's most successful clients and advisors on how to best structure strategic solutions in the areas of estate, tax, legal and family governance. Utilizing a multi-disciplinary approach he is able to bring Morgan Stanley's wide range of specialists to focus on solutions affecting the ultra-high net worth client space. Utilizing both internal and external resources Joseph works with clients their accountants and attorneys to develop deep inter-generational solutions and efficiency. Mr. Romano brings the firms intellectual capital to clients and their professional service providers through sophisticated trust modeling, tax analysis, legal review and investment analysis. Joseph also serves as adjunct in the Morgan Stanley FWD program and works closely with MS Gift and MS Trust. Mr. Romano is a frequent lecturer for the firm and actively speaks on topics ranging from tax strategy, diversity and governance. Joseph has more than 25 years' experience in the areas of investment analysis, law, tax and business. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley Joseph was an Executive Vice President at CITI/Smith Barney, an advisor at Duane Morris/Wescott, managed the federal tax shelter practice for Arthur Andersen LLP and was an associate attorney at Eizen, Fineburg and McCarthy in Philadelphia. Mr. Romano is also a member of the Wharton Securities Executive Institute and holds series 7, 66 and 24 licenses Mr. Romano holds degrees in both economics and sociology from the University of Massachusetts, law degrees from Western Michigan Cooley Law School and Villanova University School of Law.


Herb Fineberg- Offit Kurman

Mr. Fineburg, Shareholder and Managing Principal of Offit Kurman in Philadelphia, is recognized as one of Philadelphia's most respected business lawyers whose substantial knowledge of tax law provides clients with strategic and cost-saving benefits in connection with commercial transactions, taxation and wills, trusts and estates matters. Known for his ability to resolve complicated matters effectively, Mr. Fineburg has assisted businesses and individuals with the organization of their finances, business and real estate affairs, and the structure of their assets (i.e., in LLCs, partnerships, corporations, trusts or joint ownership). He has substantial expertise in the preparation of buy-sell agreements for co-owners who are family members or are unrelated business partners. In addition, to working on bank financings, business contracts and employment matters for his business clients, Mr. Fineburg also provides advice on business acquisitions and sales, and the resolution of shareholder and partner disputes and buyouts. Mr. Fineburg, who began his law career as a commercial litigator and bankruptcy lawyer, frequently provides litigation counsel and assistance to a wide range of firm clients. His articles have appeared in the Pennsylvania CPA Journal and the Journal of S Corporation Taxation and he is an editor of Volume 7A, "Estate Planning for Businesses" of Rabkin & Johnson Current Legal Forms with Tax Analysis. A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Mr. Fineburg received his law degree from the University of Missouri and a Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M) from the New York University School of Law, Graduate Division.
